Denise started coaching gymnastics in 1991, and has been training clients and athletes since she was in university and full time since 1998. She started her career volunteering with physical therapists, nurses and chiropractors, realizing that she had potential to fill a huge gap in the fitness industry. She wanted to become a trainer that understands injuries, physiology and biomechanics enough to create functional “pre-habilitative” programs that not only prevent injuries and help rehabilitate old ones, but also facilitate incredible fitness and weight loss results – for life!
Denise has spoken for the past 10 years as a health and wellness expert for various television stations including: “Global TV”, “City TV”, and the Tampa Bay Morning Show. Denise has written for many publications such as IMPACT magazine, various community and human resources newsletters, and has been featured in the Calgary Herald, North Shore News, Hamilton Spectator and other Canadian publications. Denise shares her passion for health with various organizations yearly through public speaking engagements with companies such as: Industry Canada, Aquila, The National Parole Board, Standard Life, etc. She also has presented to many sports teams, Runner’s Edge, and other health and fitness related organizations. She is also registered as a professional speaker with Life Speak and presents monthly at her fitness studio in Calgary.
Denise started Life Works Fitness in 1998, and recently incorporated and expanded to “The Fitness Fix™” opening the large facility in January 2009 to meet the needs of her clients and to offer a non-intimidating, safe, family-friendly environment to train.

Denise has completed 3 full marathons, numerous half marathons and 10kms and has a baby daughter she adores and an incredible husband! Denise has rehabilitated her own car accident injuries and strives everyday to keep learning through education, her clients, and herself to be the best educator and trainer she can be. In 2006 Denise filmed an award winning series of DVD’s unlike any on the market, made by professionals to help prevent injury, to tone, and to balance bodies. Another one of Denise’s dreams became reality with the opening of the Fitness Fix Studio, and she hopes that this facility can be a welcoming venue for all ages and levels to reach and maintain health and fitness goals!
Kim has been working with The Fitness Fix since June 2006. She joined the Fitness fix team after a personal battle with weight gain, knee and back problems and wanted to help other people become fit and stay injury free. Kim wants all people regardless of age, injury or ability to be able to reach their gaols and stay healthy in the process. Kim was first initiated into the Fitness Fix Team when she helped with the research and filming for the popular Fitness Fix DVD series. In this journey she has completed her AFLCA and Can Fit Pro courses in personal training, group training and nutrition, and has worked with and been trained by Fitness Fix founder Denise Beatty since 2001. Kim loves teaching group and individual training for all levels, and can challenge anyone in a healthy, motivating, and EFFECTIVE way! She recently completed her TRX Trainer Certification taking her functional training to a higher level.

Kim has completed 4 full marathons, 7 half marathons, and countless 10km’s. In her quest for knowledge Kim takes continuous educational courses to keep her training at a high level and to inspire her clients to achieve their goals and to feel amazing! She has a young son she is inspired by everyday.
Kim loves helping her clients reach and maintain their goals, and she looks forward to every training session and class that she teaches! She loves challenging all levels from parent and tot to seniors, and people recovering from injury. She enjoys running and playing baseball in her free time and finds the most satisfying reward from training is helping people live their life pain free. Rachelle Yuzik has been working with the Fitness Fix Team as a client and now as a trainer since 2006. She is one of very few in Canada to have trained under world renowned fitness and wellness expert Paul Chek to receive her Level One Holistic Lifestyle Coach (HLC) certification. She is also certified through AFLCA, specializing in Resistance Training and recently brought her functional and athletic training to a higher level becoming one of few certified as a highly sought after Cross Fit Trainer.

Rachelle has her BA Honours from the U of C and is currently working towards her Diploma in Holistic Nutrition. Her goal is to pursue a career as a Registered Nutritional Consultant Practitioner and couple this with her years of experience as an athlete and trainer. Rachelle loves teaching others what she has learned through her own training as well as from her completions in multiple half marathons and 10 km races.
Rachelle loves working with and inspiring others to feel and be their best! She strives to help her clients reach optimal health and wellness and aims to provide motivation and support in any way possible. Rachelle can train any clients in any situation to improve their functional fitness! Her dynamic and effective programs help our clients accomplish things they never thought possible and have fun in the process! Rachelle’s future goals are to better herself as a coach, trainer, athlete and individual, and to inspire and educate others.
Casey has been interested in fitness her entire life; starting young as a competitive synchronized swimmer with the Sea Sprites. In Casey’s passion for fitness and desire to inspire others; Casey completed numerous certifications and extensive education to become a trainer in 2006. She is in high demand throughout Calgary and is a phenomenal class, small group and individual instructor focusing on injury prevention and weight loss. She loves more than anything to be able to motivate others to feel amazing, and see what they can accomplish! Casey strives to make any group she works with feel comfortable, and successful while she leads you to do more than you ever thought you could! Casey is AFLCA certified as a Strength and Conditioning specialist. She also provides a huge variety to every session with her certifications in TRX and Gymstick, other incredible modes of functional training. She applies her own experiences as a Sprint and Olympic distance triathlete, and avid runner to help her clients reach their goals in training.

Casey’s biggest honor is raising her two incredible boys! She has completed various 10km and triathlon races. Casey loves running, skiing and a great night filled with good food and closest friends!
Casey loves seeing everyone come into the studio each day and work their butts off- it is a huge rush of motivation for her and she feels we have the best clients! Casey is inspired by Denise- “she is my inspiration and the reason why I became a trainer. After years of kicking my butt at training sessions , I loved how strong and healthy it made me feel. I knew that I could help others feel that way too!”
Casey’s future goals are to continue to educate herself as much as possible, and help clients to reach their health and fitness goals. She is currently working toward her Specialist in Sports Nutrition certification with ISSA.
